When can I sign up for classes?

You can sign up for classes anytime, up to class start time. Class times and dates are posted under Courses. You can register for classes online or call our office at 360-714-9355. Once you have paid in full, you are guaranteed a place in the class.

Do I need to take classes in order?

When getting your 75 hour core certificate it is advised that your first class be Orientation and Safety. You must attend all classes to receive your 75 hour training certificate.

Where are your classes taught?

Our classes are taught in Ferndale at our Training Center. Our physical address is 1354 Pacific Place Suite 101, Ferndale, WA 98248.

Do you have a minimum number of students for your classes?

Our minimum number of students is four. We will notify you 48 hours before the class start date if we need to cancel a class due to low enrollment.

What if there is bad weather?

Classes will follow the local school district. Class cancellations due to weather will be posted on our website or on our outgoing phone message, simply dial 360-714-9355. If classes are cancelled, we will resume the following business day.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.

Are your classes DSHS approved?

Yes, all classes are DSHS approved. Once you have passed the class, you will receive a certificate with the DSHS approval codes printed on them.

How are classes graded?

Classes are pass or fail. Self-study courses require an 80 percent to pass.

What if I fail a test?

If a test is failed, you may schedule and retake an alternative test at no additional cost. If that test is also failed, you may retake the entire class at half the cost after 30 days and within one year.

How is the 75-Hour CORE training done?

Students attend the following classes:
  • Orientation/Safety (five hours)
  • Population Specific Classes (30 hours) – Days one through four
  • Core Basic (40 hours)

At the end of your classes you will receive 4 certificates:
Orientation and Safety, CPR/1St AID, CORE Basic, and Population Specific Training

What is your refund policy?

We provide full refunds for cancellations within five business days of payment (excluding holidays or Sundays) if the student has not started classes.

Students receive hands on training with trainers who are DOH approved and who have worked in the caregiving field themselves. Students have the opportunity to learn with equipment and tools they will use every day at their caregiving job.
