Class Description:

This DOH-approved online self-study class familiarizes students with common bloodborne diseases, including causes, prevention, and treatments. The class covers special issues pertaining to HIV/AIDs-related nondiscrimination laws, testing protocol, and counseling. Enrollees learn how to prevent the BBP transmission by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other standard precautions. This course also outlines the correct protocol for handling BBP exposure if it does happen. Interactive checkpoints invite students to actively engage with class content, and class participants take a test at the end of this course. Those who successfully pass the test receive a certificate that remains current for one year.
