Class Description:

Note: This class is for Cascade Connections’ staff only.

Participants in this video-led course will learn American Sign Language (ASL) through weekly practice of signs, grammar rules, and cultural insights. The first 15 lessons focus on the Bravo family as they navigate life at home, in the community, and at school, following the Sign Enhancers Beginning ASL curriculum. Those who continue to lessons 16-30 will explore the Start ASL course, which extends beyond the Bravo family and covers additional signs, grammar, and cultural topics, including “What was DPN?” and “What’s the deal with cochlear implants?” It is important that participants complete the lessons in order.
