History

Cascade Christian Home (CCH) first opened its doors to people with developmental disabilities in 1980 – over four decades ago! At that time, the opening of our group home was a dream come true for several families who wanted their adult children to have greater independence and community living. Today, we carry on the dream they inspired as we continue to provide opportunities for their children and others to live happy, productive lives in our community.

About Us

Cascade Christian Home is nestled in a country setting within five miles of several cities in Whatcom County. The home currently supports eight adult residents in attaining their goals and desires. We do this by having an understanding of the whole person and supporting each individual’s abilities and disabilities. We provide an individualized and empowering approach to assisting individuals in every aspect of their lives, supporting them to flourish spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Our core values include being respected, engaging in choice, acknowledging competence, having solidarity, and recognizing individuality.
