Ferndale, WA – Cascade Connections announced plans to open a new location on Main Street in Ferndale in 2026. The new location will serve as the organization’s primary administrative office, Training Center, and residential headquarters. In 2027, Cascade Connections’ Vocational Services program will also relocate to the site, bringing all major operations together under one roof.

Cascade Connections, whose mission is to empower people with disabilities to enhance their quality of life, has been an active part of the Ferndale community since opening its current office in 2012.

In addition to providing Residential and Vocational services, Cascade Connections operates a regional Training Center that offers education and certification for caregivers. Each year, the Training Center provides classes in First Aid/CPR, Caregiving, and Right Response to hundreds of students.

“We are excited that this move will increase our visibility, further anchor us in the Ferndale community, and expand our ability to provide training and resources to community partners,” said Executive Director Allison Hill. “Our new location will be more accessible for our clients, staff, and stakeholders.”

The new location will feature universal design principles to ensure full accessibility for all visitors. “Creating a welcoming, accessible space is essential to our mission and to delivering person-centered services,” Hill continued. “This new building positions us for future growth and allows us to streamline services by our consolidating operations under one roof.”

Ferndale’s central location within Cascade Connections’ service area made it a natural choice for the organization’s new headquarters. Cascade Connections serves individuals throughout western Whatcom County and has a long-standing history of collaboration with the City of Ferndale, including hosting annual events such as its Stakeholder Meeting and Agency Picnic.

“Ferndale is a growing and thriving community, and we are excited to be part of its continued success,” said Hill. “We’ve received a warm welcome from local businesses, and it’s been a joy to grow our residential programs here. We look forward to strengthening existing partnerships and building new ones as we work together to create a more inclusive Whatcom County.”
