Valley’s Story

Valley Love came to Cascade Connections in April of 1991, and has been on a strong road to self-fulfillment ever since. Valley was raised by her late mother and father, who worked as hard as they could to give Valley the life she deserved. Before Cascade Connections, Valley had a limited vocabulary of about four words, and did not seem at all interested in expanding her abilities. As of now, Valley has a word bank of a little more than thirty words and phrases, and that list is growing every day. Valley not only had a limited vocabulary, but also had not held a job before. With the help of Cascade Connections’ Vocational Services, she now works three days a week at two different locations. It has helped her become more comfortable and integrated in the community. Valley is a very joyous woman who loves life, and seems to always see the best in everyday situations.
