Class Description:

Note: This class is for Cascade Connections’ staff only.

This introductory training serves new employees who support individuals with developmental disabilities. The course includes the following seven modules, along with required competency testing: Overview of Developmental Disabilities, Values of Service Delivery, Effective Communication, Introduction to Interactive Planning, Understanding Behavior, Crisis Intervention and Prevention, and Overview of Legal Issues and Individual’s Rights.

This is a two-day class plus homework. Student must attend each day.
