Class Description:

This course covers basic communication techniques as well as effective ways of communicating with individuals experiencing Dementia. The course covers; Dementia and its definition, stages, specific ways to interact and communicate with individuals living with Dementia. Some Techniques include: how to effectively manage your communication, the importance and use of body language, how to make sure your message is received correctly, and how to be an effective, active listener.
