Class Description:
This course provides in depth training for caregivers on the specialized needs of individuals with mental health issues. The course includes a general overview about mental disorders and the four of the most common mental disorders, the provision of culturally sensitive care, respectful and non-judgmental communication, tools and methods to handle challenging behaviors, identifying de-compensation and relapse with ways to help, crisis and suicide intervention plus basic.
