In this class students will learn to understand the basic guidelines used by the USDA, understand serving size, take part in creating a balanced and complete menu plan, understand menu planning and Diabetes, how to read nutrition labels, how to involve the client in menu planning, dehydration and poor nutrition, define fats, sodium, and empty calories, food handling and food borne illness, preparing a shopping list from a menu.
