Are you looking for quality home care services in Whatcom County for yourself or a loved one?

Cascade Connections Home Care provides in-home personal care services. By providing compassionate, competent care, we help extend independent living while promoting physical and mental well-being. It is our goal to enhance the quality of life for each and every person we serve.

History

The Home Care program was created in 2002 to improve quality of life for individuals with disabilities in our community. At its outset, the program served only adults with developmental disability diagnoses. In 2009, the agency extended its services to individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and to children with developmental disabilities. In 2014, we began offering services to seniors through private pay.

Our Home Care Professionals

Our caring and compassionate home care aides are thoroughly screened and trained to ensure that the people we serve receive the highest standard of care. Our rigorous screening processes include interviews, reference checks, background checks, and driving abstracts. In addition, we are a drug-free workplace that requires staff to pass random drug testing.

Our home care aides must hold current Home Care Aide (HCA) licenses and possess the following knowledge and skills:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certificate
  • HIV/AIDS training
  • Safety training – Basic safety precautions, emergency procedures, and infection control
  • Drug awareness

HCAs continually enhance their knowledge through various continuing education training courses that our accredited training facility provides throughout the year.
