Class Description:
This course provides in depth training for caregivers on the specialized needs of individuals with dementia issues. The course includes tools and methods to help you explore and handle challenging behaviors such as physical violence and aggressive behaviors, the impact of dementia on communication, effectively assist a person with dementia with ADLs, ideas and tips for involvement in meaningful activities, differentiate between hallucinations and delusions along with intervention strategies, dementia’s effects on sexuality, medications, and supporting your well-being as a caregiver.
