Class Description:

This self-study course for caregivers covers fundamental concepts and principles of nurse delegation. Participants learn specific delegated tasks based on nurse delegation protocols. Topics include nurse delegation law; HCAs/NARs/NACs roles in delegation; client care and body systems; medication administration; and treatments. This course does not cover skills training for delegated tasks, which are taught by delegating nurses. Students must pick up, complete, and submit course materials by the test date.

This is a self-study class with a required in-person test. After students complete the self-study, they will come in for a two-hour workbook check and test by appointment.
