Class Description:

Note: This class is for community members only. If you are signing up for Cascade Connections’ staff, please contact the Training Department.

Orientation – 2 hours

This course’s two-hour Orientation portion covers the client rights, characteristics, and special needs of the population we serve. Students learn about the care setting, care team, and caregiver job responsibilities and expectations. This course also teaches effective communication, documentation, and reporting, including mandatory reporting.

Safety – 3 hours

The three-hour Safety portion of the course covers accident prevention, universal precautions, and emergency response. This course includes 30 minutes for lunch, which staff should bring with them.
