40 Hours CORE Curriculum (November 2020)

This CORE Curriculum is for residential agency billing through DDA. For all other students, please take 54 Hours CORE Curriculum Classes (7-day classes) instead.

[Update] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are breaking our CORE Curriculum into 4-day lectures and a 1-day skill class. 

Class Information:

Class Location: Cascade Connections Training Center
Class Type: Virtual Live Class + On-Campus Skills Class – We have switched the lecture class from in-person to online format temporarily. The class will be taught virtually (live) until further notice.

Class Description:

We will be using Division of Developmental Disabilities’ curriculum; this will be used towards the LTC license. This curriculum includes; an overview of developmental disabilities, residential service guidelines and individual services, effective communication, ISP/IISP services, personal care skills and support, nutrition and dietary guidelines, healthcare/health management, medication management, emergency procedures, abuse and neglect, confidentiality, and ISS staff roles/self-care/boundaries/communication. Student must attend each day.

A No-Show/Last-Minute Rescheduling and Late Policy:
A $25 fee will be charged for all no-shows AND last-minute rescheduling request (within 7 days of the class start date). If you are later than 15 minutes for a class, you will be asked to reschedule to the next available class. For more information, read the Cascade Connections Training Center Rules And Regulations.

Student must attend each day:
If the student does not complete all 5 days, we will bill the agency for the day(s) student attended.

Option 1 – 11/9/20 (DAY 1), 11/10/20 (DAY 2), 11/16/20 (DAY 3), 11/17/20 (DAY 4), 11/24/20 (DAY 5) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Option 2 – 11/9/20 (DAY 1), 11/10/20 (DAY 2), 11/13/20 (DAY 3), 11/16/20 (DAY 4), 11/17/20 (DAY 5) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
